Snow Performance Water/Methanol Injection Kits (Boost Activated)

What does water/methanol injection kits do?  They injection methanol into your combustion chamber in your engine.  Why would you want to do that?  Well, the water/methanol mixture when injection into the combustion chamber in your engine fights off knock/detonation, allowing you to run more boost and more timing safely.  It is essentially like running high octane race gas in your car, just much cheaper!  The water/methanol mixture (called Boost Juice by Snow Performance) costs a $9.95 a gallon and will last for some time whereas race gas usually start at $12 a gallon and go upwards of $15 a gallon or more.  Another benefit of water/methanol injection is that it greatly reduces intake air temperatures.  Lower temperatures equates to more power!

Why Snow Performance kits over other brands?  Simple.  Their progressive injector controllers are awesome.  The boost activated controllers (used for the N54 and N55 applications) are very easy to use and understand.  It's why we run Snow Performance water/methanol injector kit on our 135i race car.  Set what PSI you want the injectors to start to start spraying and set what PSI you want maximum flow.  It's that simple.  CAUTION: TO SAFELY AND PROPERLY USE WATER/METHANOL INJECTION, YOUR CAR MUST HAVE THE PROPER TUNING FOR IT.  CONSULT YOUR TUNER IF YOU ARE UNSURE.

Snow Performance offers Stages 1, 2 and 3.  We'll explain the differences below:

Stage 1

Snow Performance Stage 1 Boost Cooler

The gasoline Stage 1 Boost Coolerâ„¢ kit is available for forced induction applications that are either fuel injected or carbureted. Operation is very simple: the system starts injecting when the boost switch reaches the user-adjustable point and it injects a fixed amount of fluid through the nozzle until the switch opens again. This makes it a good choice for low to medium boost setups looking for an octane enhancement and cooler intake charge. Activation can also be set up through any other user-chosen switch, such as a full throttle switch, etc. Now with Lifetime Warranty

This is the most basic kit.  Water/methanol injection is controlled by boost (PSI).  Set it at any boost pressure and it will spray once it reaches targeted boost pressure.

Stage 2

Snow Performance Stage 2 Boost Cooler

This kit uses manifold boost pressure to determine when and how much fluid to inject. Proportionally injecting according to boost pressure gives the most accurate delivery of water-methanol and allows the most cooling and performance improvement over the widest range. More power and driveability is the result. It can be used on any forced induction engine: carbureted, fuel injected, turbocharged, positive displacement or centrifugal blowers. The most suitable are the centrifugal supercharged and turbocharged engines, as they build boost is a more progressive manner concerning water-methanol injection. The positive displacement blower engines will work, but it might take more work to dial in the delivery. For higher boost applications (over 25psi), the controller can be upgraded to our VC100 unit. The Stage 2 Kit is essentially the same as the Stage 1 except with the progressive controller.  The controller allows you to set what boost pressure you want to start spraying and at what boost pressure you want maximum spray.  Spray will progressively climb between start and full spray.

The Stage 3 Boost Cooler® is unmatched for accuracy and adjustability in water-methanol injection systems. This system can be used on any forced induction engine, or ANY engine with a traditonal EFI system, and features our LCD display with on-the-fly adjustability.

Extremely easy to set up and dial in - the software creates a delivery map based on boost or EFI signal from just a few easy to set points you punch in from the drivers seat.

The LCD Screen displays boost pressure, fuel injector duty cycle, as well as water-methanol injection percent. Quick, easy, positive adjustments are made with 2 push buttons. Low profile design allows for easy-to-view and discrete mounting.

The Stage 3 Kit is essentially the same as the Stage 1 and 2 Kits except it comes with a LCD progressive controller.  The LCD controller functions just like the progressive controller in the Stage 2 kit however, it has push buttons and an easy to read LCD screen (compared to dials and markings on the Stage 2 controller).

Stage 3 MPG Max

Snow Performance Stage 3 MPG Max Boost Cooler

The MPG MAX® Stage 3 Boost Cooler® is unmatched for increases in Fuel Economy AND Power in water-methanol injection systems. Key to this is accuracy and adjustability designed into the system. This Boost Cooler® can be used on any forced induction engine, or ANY engine with a traditional EFI system.

In the lighter load states, it can read and inject according to boost level and EFI signal simultaneously, and inject through a very small nozzle. This allows it to be extremely accurate when injecting smaller amounts to prevent quench.

Additionally, the MPG MAX® has the software and hardware capability to inject the correct amounts under the higher load states for serious increases in power, using a larger secondary nozzle.

Of course, both stages are also fully progressive and completely adjustable for the perfect delivery on your vehicle, no matter what other modifications are utilized.
